10 Ionia appears on city maps as early as the 1830s as a service or commercial building.
1912
10 Ionia is home to the Rindge, Kalmbach, Logie & Co. shoe factory and 11-story parking structure used by Morton House.
1930s
10 Ionia borders the Campau city design and the new designed Heartside District by surveyor Lyon.
1979
After being vacant several years, the building is demolished.
2018
Hinman submits a proposal for a mixed-use 13-story development at 10 Ionia.
2019
Hinman breaks ground on 10 Ionia Downtown Grand Rapids Residence Inn by Marriott.
2021
Residence Inn by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown Opens
